- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter
Filling Ingredients - 5 pears, such as Packham, Comice, Bartlett, Bosc, cored and sliced
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon zest
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

Preparing Preheat the oven to 350°F. First prepare the topping by mixing the brown sugar, pecans, and flour in a bowl. Cut in the butter and blend until the mixture resembles very coarse cornmeal. Top with the pear mixture and sprinkle with the remaining pecan topping. Bake for 40 minutes. Serve hot or cold, with ice cream or whipped cream if desired. Additional Resources Learn about Pears.
