Banana Crisp
- 6 medium-sized bananas, peeled
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup vanilla wafer crumbs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- whipped cream or Cool Whip
Preparing
Preheat the oven to 350F.
Slice the bananas into 1/2 inch rounds. Grease a large casserole and arrange the banana slices on the bottom. Sprinkle with salt.
In a bowl, combine the vanilla wafer crumbs with the melted butter. Add the brown sugar and cinnamon and mix well. Sprinkle over the bananas. Bake for approximately 20 minutes, or until browned. Serve warm or cold and top with whipped cream or Cool Whip.
